The best thing that happened in my life to enjoy was and always is listening to George Jones. We will always love you!!! GEORGE JONES FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bobby? .... Oh, I think I get it... shows the effect Geo Jones song can have on the listener : sort of puts you in a trance state where George, the song , the melody, the lyrics, the composer, the listener are all very close with little distance between each other resulting in a measure of a shared communication , this is the goal of art and geo jones was able to bring this to his listeners in just about any song he touched and delivered.
when was this recorded? never hear of it , but, like the beatles or mozart, EVERYTHING geo did when he had full use of his tools and singing assets, is an absolute pleasure for us. thanks for sharing this. it is also shows a look between his crew cut and the hair do he had for the rest of his life. i'd tag this mid 60s
We are so fortunate to have avenues such as UA-cam than enable us to listen to this beautiful music. They don't make music like they used to, and I am grateful, to be able to watch videos and listen to these beautiful works of art. God bless George Jones for pouring his heart out in his songs. His pain, made us very happy.
I love the interaction that was going on between the two of them in this song. I don't think they ever quit loving each other but knew they couldn't live together. This is one of my favorite songs that he did.
been looking for this for ages , i had it re on sky box and someone deleted it, i think george sings this on here just AMAZING, so much feeling in it , and band and lady singing harmony are just perfect also, JONES prob the GREATEST COUNTRY singer the world may ever hear, tnx countryborn2,, i love it

Man I miss George Jones, RIP George
Agreed
I'd assume the early '70s by his haircut and the awesome timbre of his voice. The Wynette years were, to me, his most incredible vicals.
Is this 1972?
